"80tq", as its become known as, started out as Javad Shadzi's personal project car, and has since come to represent the ultimate performance capability of 034Motorsport's off-the-shelf parts.
The car itself is a 1988 Audi 80 Quattro, still with stock body work, fenders and bumpers, and only with a later style B4 hood. The bumpers have been painted to update the look, that's about where the stock parts end.
The goal for the project has always been to develop, test and push the limits of 034Motorsport parts, and has been asked to excel and be pushed in almost every type of motorsport discipline imaginable. To date the car has run an 11.2 @ 135mph, has been prepped for Bonneville for 200+mph class and has logged over 30 track days of hard driving.
Currently 80tq is set up as a "dyno queen", to produce the most power possible from the sum of its parts, then prove the HP at the drag strip, the current 135mph drag run was achieved with a dyno figure of 650whp, the mph and whp figures nicely test that both figures are true and accurate.
As of March 2007 an new high flow cylinder head has been fit, on a basically stock cylinder head we were able to tune 703whp using a GT42RS with 40psi of boost. The new cylinder head with oversize valves and our Stage 5 port job is designed to take 80tq to over 1000whp - all with off-the-shelf parts from 034Motorsport.

Engine - 7A, 2.3 20v block bored to 83mm, .070 Copper head gasket, block 0-ringed with receiver groove in cylinder head, 034EFI 144mm forged rods, JE 83mm pistons, Total Seal oil and compression rings, Chromoly top ring, new stock valves, head ported and flowed, intake to 265cfm up from 190 stock, Custom CAT Cams, 034EFI HD valve springs, 034 Solid Lifter conversion, Autotech Vernier cam pulley. 034EFI high capacity aluminum radiator, RS2 fan shroud and 500 watt fan, and Mercedes turbo diesel oil cooler. Engine has been tested and run to 9000rpm where it makes over 950 HP.
Electronics - 034EFI Stage IIC Engine Management System, 034EFI Compete engine wiring harness. 034EFI High Output Coil kit, Innovate Motorsports XD-16 Wideband Control unit, AIM Sports Race dash with datalogging of all engine parameters including AIM Sports Wideband Module.
Turbochargers and exhaust - 034EFI Stainless tube-header, Garrett GT4202RS dual ball bearing turbocharger tested to approx. 950 crank HP. Custom 4 inch, downpipe and 3.5" exhaust system, 034Motorsport Tial 44mm drop in Wastegate.
Drivetrain - Custom Spec Stage 5+ Clutch kit with Double Spring Pressure Plate. 034 15lb Steel flywheel with integrated 60-2 impulse wheel. Stasis S4 transmission with cryogenically treated and micro-polished gears. Stasis 6-speed transmission with Stasis 5:1 high bias center diff and lockable rear diff for drag racing., and Quaife LSD front differential. OZ Ultraleggera 15x7 wheels 12lbs each with BFGoodrich drag radials. Custom Drive Shaft Shop front axles based of RS2 design.
Suspension - 2Bennett Coilovers with Koni adjustable shocks, 034Motorsport Alum upper strut mounts custom front and rear sway bars, 034Motorsport delrin control arm bushings, Audi B4 strut bar welded in.
Output - 718 wheel HP, estimated 950 +crank HP at 40psi boost, 11.2@134.5mph
Purpose - The ultimate Audi sleeper car, a stock bodied Audi 80 Quattro with 950+ HP that warps time and space with mind-numbing acceleration.
