In 1998 Javad Shadzi, the founder of 034EFI, was involved in tuning Audi 5-cylinder motors with CIS mechanical fuel injection systems. Being limited by the lack of tune-ability of the CIS system, and the performance limits it placed on creating power output past the 250hp mark, he began researching solutions to allow the true potential of the fundamentally good 5-cylinder platform. After researching many CIS modification options, he determined that electronic fuel injection was the best way to tune the 5-cylinder, and any other engine to its maximum potential.
The solution involved an ultra fast and powerful 32-bit Motorola processor, the most powerful ignition and fuel injector PWM drivers available, and a flexible, easy to use software interface backed by intricate algorithms.
Today, 034EFI is one of the premier fuel injection and engine management developers in the Audi/Volkswagen market and beyond. The flagship ECU model, the 034EFI Stage IIc, features fully programmable coil-per-cylinder, degree based ignition with sequential staged fuel injection, closed-loop oxygen sensor and idle control, launch control, turbo anti-lag, boost control, data-logging and many, many other features. Constant development means more innovative features in the future and an ever competitive product to whatever comes along.

The "automotive aftermarket industry", like any industry, is filled with companies that operate for many different reasons. Some companies are a machine for profit, ie: Capital is invested into product categories that are in demand by a large enough, and accessible enough, portion of the market, in order to create a return on investment [profit] after the overhead costs.
Some companies are created by individuals who were a good mechanic or engineer, who have a skill for developing product, but their lack of business or marketing skill prevent the company from ever creating the value that larger, well thought out business plans create - economies of scale, diversified input, a thriving organization, innovation and efficiencies. They remain small, quirky product suppliers that struggle to ever create real value or innovation that ultimately benefit the end customer (the whole point of any company!).

The Team
Javad Shadzi, President and Director of Product Development, Head Tuner
Founder of 034Motorsport and head of product development, Javad Shadzi combines his passion for fabrication and motorsports with a drive to create a company that is the foremost consultant to ultra high performance development projects. We call Javad the "Mad Scientist" as he insists on pushing his car's power and abilities to constant new levels. His daily driver has been driven less and less as of late, with over 900HP in a lightweight chassis we can understand his hesitation.
Christian Miller, Service Department Manager, Test Driver, Tech Support and Harness Development
When he's not charismatically advising our service customers, or supporting you with tech questions, Christian is out tearing up the track in the 034Motorsport Time Attack Car, our 1000HP GTI-RS, or his 500HP widebody RS4 conversion. Christian's passion for performance and motorsport shines through every time he picks up the phone, when you bring your car to 034Motorsport for service, you're not talking to just another sales person, but someone who lives and breathes automotive performance.
No one makes our products look better than when he's behind the wheel. Should you ever be so lucky, just be careful not to eat before he gives you a ride.
Lou Calderon, Office Manager
Lou comes to 034Motorsport with over 20 years of banking and book keeping experience, her job is to keep the money in order, ensure bills are paid in a timely manner, and also to make sure you've paid for your parts before they've shipped. Lou's motorsport ambitions are still in their infancy, however her Ford Minivan is begging for some 26" triple-gold-blangers and front-back-side-to-side hydraulics. Lou keeps all the guys in the shop in-line as well, ensuring everyone is washing behind their ears and paying off their employee purchases on time.
Nate Stuart, Product Development Engineering, Senior Tuner
When 034Motorsport needed a relenting, intricate, innovative product development specialist, we scoured the country - little did we know our candidate would materialize from the soggy, rustic, moose-enfused backwoods of Maine. Nate is no stranger to the rigors of motorsport development, his hands and engineering wit forged in epic Renault R5 back-road breakdowns, 034EFI turbo conversions and V8 twin-turbo, cone eating autocrossing initiatives. Nate was originally 034EFI customer number 3, he soon proved himself more than capable and enthusiastic of applying the power and flexibility of the system to many innovative applications - he now spends his sunny California days pushing product development of the system in new
and exciting ways.
Dan Eckerman, Senior Sales and Customer Service
034Motorsport isn't some conglomerate shipping warehouse, so when it came time to artistically and chivalrously assembling each order that came in, we needed an equally delicate and passionate professional to facilitate this. But that's just the smooth outer layer, dig deeper and Dan is a motorsport enthusiast through and through with a history of turbo'ing NA 2.5l Subaru's and tearing up the tracks of N. California at driving events. When you need help with 034Motorsport parts or orders you've placed, rely on Dan to swoon you into motorsport heaven.
Niles Williams, Senior Performance Technician
As in all departments at 034Motorsport, we are growing, and often we feel we're behind the demand of our customers. To combat this and get caught up more comfortably, we brought on fresh face Niles Williams. Hot off the Oregon Trail from the East Coast, Niles injected our service department with a manifest destiny spirit of conquerization! In his first month here he performed four 2.7t engine pulls and dozens of other advanced service projects for our customers. Audi trained and "mad wicked" talented, Niles is here to keep project deadlines on time, facilitate complex service and motorsport installations, and to ensure customers always leave with a smile on their face.
Adil Ali, Performance Technician
The average day of an 034Motorsport hydraulic automotive lift is filled with a smorgasbord of high performance German sedans. In one day our Benwil lift could see a 500HP wide body Urquattro, a 550HP Stage 3+ B5 S4, a track prepped B7 RS4 or a bone stock 5000 Turbo Quattro simply getting an oil change.
Our lifts are busy, busy holding up cars for our techs to work on, one of those is now Adil. We brought on Adil to help take up the slack in our daily service schedule to ensure we can get customers in for service in under a week, often the same day. Adil is driven and that's what we love about him, years ago starting out as a shop runt at an independent auto repair shop and working his way up, he is now a talented and careful tech artfully completing timing belt jobs, suspension swaps, turbo conversions all in a day's work.
Sean Sandhu, Fabricator
Sean Sandhu came in in 2010 to help out with our fabrication load, since then he's grown into a talented fabricator even developing fixtures for new products we offer. Sean is a certified welder, the quality and precision of his welds are exemplary. Sean spent time in the military, and he takes a similar approach to his fabricating. Pin hole leaks are the enemy, shoddy quality is met with shock and awe, Sean's TIG torch laying down the precision of a laser guided bomb to shoddy craftsmanship. Whether a high flow cat, a custom 3.5" B5 S4 exhaust system or one of hundreds of fabricated products we manufacture here at 034Motorsport, Sean is your man strategically fighting the insurgent forces of power robbing OEM parts and proclaiming "Mission Accomplished", freedom of your horsepower and torque are spreading across the world!
Rajvir Kalsi, Performance Manufacturing Machinist
In the world of Motorsport there are leaders and there are followers, there are copiers and innovators. In order to be a leading innovator you need experience, drive and passion to create new concepts and work them out until they are ready for consumption. You need tools and equipment that bring advanced concepts to life for testing, and you need skilled staff to bring it all together. Advanced manufacturing resources in house means that 034Motorsport can create virtually any product more quickly and less expensively than outsourcing. This translates to higher quality product and actually lower prices to the customer.
Raj fills his role at 034Motorsport by running our three Haas CNC machines, with over 10 years of machining and manufacturing work experience he can fixture, setup, machine and test our prototypes and products to the highest standard required.
Jeremy Thurston, Sales and Wholesale Distribution
Jeremy came to us as a certified clinical dubhead, a big white van pulled up to our front lobby, out he came from the back in a straight jacket mumbling something about sofa's and euros. Once we unstrapped him and let him loose, we knew we had a very powerful resource on our hands!
For years it was all we could do here at 034Motorsport to handle the influx of business, we've never made an effort to "reach out" to other companies and customers to let them know about our products and services.
In addition to daily customer service and sales roles, Jeremy reaches out to other companies in the industry, what many others would consider our competition, to find ways that we can collaborate and work together. As
a company, we realize that the more positively we can work and collaborate with others in this industry, the better off we all will be. Joe Horkey, Internet Sales and Customer Service
At 034Motorsport, we're never really closed. Even while we're sleeping, customers from around the world place orders on our website for the parts we make and sell. When we unlock the door first thing in the morning, it is Joe Horkey who is sprinting to his desk. Many orders from the night before need to be processed and the frenzy continues all through the day.
We'd like to think if fate hadn't brought Joe to 034, he's be a high end waiter at a fine dining restaurant. Not the kind that makes you feel like a mindless twit for asking what a beshamel sauce is, or why your soup started out with a mirepoix, but a considerate waiter who welcomes you warmly and assists you with your needs in a way that is respectful.
Joe is knowledgeable about Volkswagen/Audi tuning, and his own daily ride is a B5 S4 with our 2.7T STK (Single Turbo Kit). Joe looks forward to assisting you with your online order or speaking to you on the phone about your project.
Josh Hale, Senior Manufacturing Technician
At 034 we manufacture thousands of our own products in order to fill niches in often quirky applications that have been ignored by other companies. This is no small feat, many of these products besides being complex to manufacture, have different versions for esoteric differences in model years and changes VW and Audi constantly make. In order to ensure that product is not only on the shelf, but accurately made, we employ staff like Josh and Randy Brown to ensure what you get will fit your car and deliver as advertised.
Josh is a hands-on kind of guy, he originally started in our shipping department handling your packages, but quickly showed he had a passion for manufacturing. Josh has helped 034 create processes that help make parts more quickly and more accurately. From welding, to fixturing, running our CNC machines to quality control steps, Josh has his hands deep in all areas of 034 product manufacturing.
Randy Brown, Senior Manufacturing Technician
In order to keep thousands of 034 products on the shelf ready to ship at your every whim, it requires staff like Randy. Before each product is shipped, staff like Randy test fitment and quality to ensure it meets high 034 standards. 034Motorsport is not simply an order and sell sort of company like many are, we actually conceive, prototype, test and manufacture thousands of products in house, this means that we need more than mindless order takers and "box transferring" people, we need smart, dynamically thinking, creative "passionistas" to meet our high standards and lofty goals for product in the VW/Audi aftermarket.
We joke around the shop that Randy is "OCD" when it comes to the quality he produces, but this is done with the most sincere respect. We can always count that if Randy touched it and said it was good, that it will be. His standards for quality and perfection are unmatched in the company. Because of this, he is in charge of our manufacturing assembly department, from accurately produced flywheels to welding snub brackets and driveshaft supports to test fitting many of our products before they are deemed shippable, Randy is there to ensure that our products do and you get what we say they will.
Ado Masic, Manufacturing Technician
Our manufacturing department is being constantly filled with more product that 034Motorsport produces, for us and for our private label partners. From finalizing machined sub-assemblies to mocking up exhaust and downpipe systems in our fabrication department, we have a never ending stream of work that always needs to be finished. Ado helps lighten the load in this department and within our Quality Control standards and procedures.
Ado came to us with a background helping run a large chain-style auto service store, but tired of the monotony and redtape, he came to us seeking a new opportunity and challenge. We trust Ado to treat each part that he touches as if it were his own, being installed on his own car, to ensure the finest possible performance and experience for you the driver and user.
Sam Resnick, Sales and Customer Service
The saying goes, as well as the truism, if you don't believe in what you sell, you won't be very good at selling it. Our sales philosophy at 034 isn't one of "selling", we're not trying to talk anyone into buying anything they don't want or need. We make products that people want and need, so "selling" is just a matter of assisting and supplying customers with the right information to make their best decision. For years Sam was a loyal 034 customer, and now he's joined us to help you with your go-fast decisions at 034.
We liked Sam, not only because he was already a user of 034 parts, but had a past in customer service. Sam genuinely wants 034 customers to be happy, and
he is willing to do what it takes to do just that.
Max Stanton, Manufacturing and Online Marketing
Thanks to destiny, Max now works for 034Motorsport helping make our customer's go-fast dreams come true. Every once in a while, someone comes along, and they are just the perfect fit - Max was just that. A lot of guys, while in college, spend all their time going to parties, getting girls drunk and trying to shag them. Max was a lot different...in addition to those activities...he included pulling 2.7t engines for fun and helping friends upgrade their S4's to Stage 3
power. When a guy can squeeze performance tuning into a busy, busty college schedule, doors at 034 fling open so it seems. Since Max is such a "hands on" guy, we put him right to work in our manufacturing department fabricating and assembling many of the parts in our vast product line. He also helps out in our 034EFI Plug In Harness building department to build harnesses for customers running our 034EFI Standalone systems. You'll also see Max out on the forums representing 034 and helping answer or assist with tech questions.
Sarah Vasquez, Book Keeping
When you do as much "HP Delivery Service" as 034Motorsport does, the paper trail gets ugly unless someone is responsible for keeping it all in order. Sarah makes sure our accounting system is getting all the data it needs to take into account all the financial happenings at 034Motorsport each day. From paying bills, to getting invoices paid to the thousands of daily financial transactions, Sarah is ensuring everything balances out at the end of the day.
Ken Stevens, Sales and Customer Service
When you think of 034Motorsport, you think of an inner passion which drives you to tune your own car. Well that's sort of how Ken applied
his passion into working for 034Motorsport. For quite some time Ken was a model 034 customer, bought lots of tuning parts for his B5 S4, even
botched his own timing belt job so he could have a genuine 034Motorsport motor installed in his car. Ken is so committed to the tuning
lifestyle that he lowered his car so far that his own wheel ripped off one of his fenders, forcing him to repaint the entire car. To further
show his commitment to tuning, Ken is constantly racing cars that put his K04 turbos to shame, forcing him to upgrade to Tial 770's and a full
034EFI custom tune. We're not sure how much farther Ken will go in his passion for tuning, or whether he'll crush his right hand in a sheet
metal bender so he'll be forced to install an Xtrac '532' FIA compliant 4-wheel drive sequentially shifted transmission.
Ken does have his inner demons, thoughts of air bags, fat laces, poke and tuck and hella flush his mind from time to time, but a forced
ingestion of a Pentosin smoothie with Valium and Prozac have kept his mind focused on making his car to faster, not slower.

Danny Pickering, High Performance Product Packing and Assembling Specialist
When you move the sort of high performance products that a company like 034 does, you need fast efficient staff to facilitate the many shipments. Most days we ship 50+ packages, busy days over 100, and these aren't your typical "Amazon or ebay" type orders. 034Motorsport orders comprise of a dizzying assortment of possible fittings, adapters, brackets, mounts, electrical components, OEM parts and hundreds of other possible, precise and specific parts. The correct parts must be pulled, each part must be confirmed to work in conjunction with other parts, its a complexical nightmare for anyone lacking basic common sense and attention to detail.
Danny oversees the packing and shipping of these complex orders, and also kits the many product assemblies we sell to ensure kits are correct with all the right parts and quantities. While he has been applying this attention to detail in a devastating way with the ladies for years, now his finely honed skills are put to use assembling your orders with a romantic passion for completeness and promptness.
Jimmy Loushin, Shipping Director and Inventory Control
034Motorsport is no longer a little boutique shop, gone are the days when all parts and inventory could be counted on fingers and toes or remembered with mere mortal brain ability. Jimmy came to us after managing within a Home Depot store, with a no-nonsense attitude and gaze that would make a boisterous Roger Rabbit shrivel and hide, Jimmy works to help our shipping department run more smoothly and efficiently. He also doesn't mind being poked and prodded, for years being a 034 Beta Tester with his gorgeous 20th anniversary GTI, and now his 20-valve 90 Quattro future 7A turbo kit recipient. Don't be alarmed by Jimmy's piercing gaze, though he's looking right through you, its likely to help him spot discrepancies in the inventory right behind you, to ensure your next order ships without any drama.
Jason Ochs, Shipping Manager
Most days at 034Motorsport we ship a lot of packages; in 2012 we shipped about 75 per day on average. And these aren't 75 "snuggies" or some other simple Amazon style mail order operation, we're talking complex orders with fittings, adapters and esoteric go-fast motorsport parts that would make most shipping guy's head explode. Not only is Jason responsible for shipping the myriad of packages that leave our building, but also pulling complex orders, ensuring the right parts have been pulled, giving customers status updates on their orders as well as working with our production and manufacturing staff to ensure parts are being made for the customers who need them.
Jason came to us from Home Depot where he managed a department. He brings a lot of the "big box" experience to 034 where it can be applied to our more agile, fast and efficient way of doing business to meet customer needs. Since so much of our business involves shipping what we do to you the customer, no mistakes can be tolerated in this area, otherwise we fail at doing what we do best - bringing your fast dreams to life!
