The AWE Center Vent Boost Gauge Kit completely replaces one of the three center vents (your choice), while the vent location ensures quick viewing with no obstruction of the balance of your instruments. The backlight, illuminated needle, and face graphics of the gauge match the factory instruments perfectly. The gauge reads from 0-30 psi of boost and 30-0 in/hg of vacuum.
When we took a look at installing a boost gauge kit in the B5 Audi A4/S4/RS4, we first studied an a-pillar placement. However, the addition of the a-pillar/side curtain airbag worried us. The last thing that you need in an accident is a gauge turning into a projectile. During mock-ups and trials, we landed upon the center vent location. After many hours spent in prototyping and product sourcing, we perfected our Center Vent Boost Gauge. The central location of this kit is not only attractive and cohesive to the interior, it is easier to read at speed.
The gauge precision is unmatched, and the kit just oozes quality. Backlighting is via crisp LEDs, ensuring a perfect match to the factory instrument cluster. Further, it features advanced electrical internals to eliminate any and all chance of buzzing that can sometimes happen with a mechanical gauge. Measurement is 0-30 psi of boost and 30-0 in/hg of vacuum.
This kit includes a complete center vent pod, anodized aluminum bracketry for the gauge, all electrical and tubing hookups, and detailed install sheet. Full functionality of the vent, except for left-right direction, is retained. Installation is easy and takes roughly 1.5 hours.
Reclaimed Pod?
Due to the shortage of OEM vent availability worldwide, we are now offering this kit with reclaimed vents that are in excellent, like-new condition. This dramatically reduces production time, producing a like-new product.
