The RacingLine High-Flow Turbo Inlet Hose fits all MQB 2.0 and 1.8 TSI cars with the EA888 gen3 engine. The reinforced Inlet Hose has been engineered to increase air flow through to the turbocharger as the perfect complement to RacingLine’s R600 intake, the factory airbox, or any other aftermarket intake. The maximum diameter ultra smooth, high-gloss silicone with smooth transitions promotes laminar airflow. By taking away the standard plastic ‘bellows’ pipe's restrictive and turbulent airflow path between the intake and the turbocharger, the High-Flow Turbo Inlet Hose gives a worthwhile power gain. It’s a simple fitment, replacing the entire restrictive rear factory plastic bellows pipe between the airbox and the turbocharger inlet, funnelling that airflow smoothly from your intake into the turbo inlet. Fitting is very straightforward. The hose is installed in around 10 minutes using just hand tools. And easily returned to standard, should you ever wish. Crucially it has been carefully designed to allow enough compliance for adequate engine movement under load without causing damage to the intake. Just as importantly, the RacingLine hose offers great rigidity to prevent any deformation under pressure loading or heat. This achieved by including reinforced silicone elements embedded in critical areas to avoid compression under load. Back-to-back comparisons with the factory pipe on RacingLine's flow bench reveals an impressive improvement in airflow, and makes this hose a great compliment to the R600 intake. Put simply, you'll be wasting a chunk of the hard-gotten gains from your high-flow intake system if you leave this pipe standard.
