RacingLine VWR Stud and Nut Conversion Kit Tapered 70mm (Aftermarket)
Ever wondered why racecars use stud & nut kits? If you’ve ever had to remove and install your wheels quickly at the track then you’ll know how frustrating the factory wheel bolts can be. Lining up the bolt holes, bashing the wheel against your beautiful brakes calipers, then cross-threading the bolts at the same time. All while trying to balance the weight of the wheel.
RacingLine’s stud and nut kit replaces those fiddly bolts with this high tensile stud & lightweight wheel nut conversion. The kit gives a stronger fixation method than using the original wheel bolts whilst saving unsprung weight. Plus they're a much quicker method to swap wheels for motorsport and track use as well.
Converting your car to RacingLine’s Stud & Nut Kit is a simple, reversible upgrade. Simply screw in the studs in place of your original wheel bolts, with allen drive inserts to make installation a breeze.
This 70mm kit allows for the safe use of spacer size setups up to 10mm.
Both conical and ball seat lug nuts are available to suit either factory or aftermarket wheels. This kit comes with conical tapered-head nuts to suit the majority of aftermarket wheels. It’s very important to check which ones you require before ordering.
The M14 x 1.5 high tensile, heat treated high carbon steel Motorsport Studs far exceed the strength of the factory bolts for ultimate strength and safety. They have an internal 6mm allen stud drive for accurate install and 8mm of unthreaded stud shank for brake disc clearance.
The kit uses oversize 19mm Wheel Nuts – giving a greater surface area for contact & ease of use. These open-ended nuts are machined from lightweight M14 x 1.5 7000-series aluminum, featuring a knurled outer collar for much easier finger grip. Beautiful midnight-black gloss anodized finish on the nuts will smarten up your car's looks as well as its practicality.
This kit has Conical Seat Nuts – to suit most aftermarket wheels.
Note that Ball Seat nuts are also available for most OEM wheels (and a few aftermarket rims). Wheel nuts can be purchased individually should you run differing wheel types.
